1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AnkiQuiz ("AnkiQuiz", "we", "our", or "us"), including our website, dashboard, and Anki add-on. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use AnkiQuiz.
2. Description of the Service
AnkiQuiz uses AI to turn the text content of the Anki flashcards you select into interactive quizzes, such as single-choice, multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, and true/false questions. Available features and usage limits depend on your plan.
3. Accounts
To use AnkiQuiz you must create an account and connect the Anki add-on using your API key. You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and API key confidential; you are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, or have consent from a parent or guardian.
4. Acceptable Use
When using AnkiQuiz, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to process content you do not have the right to use.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Abuse, circumvent, or share API keys to exceed the quota or limits of your plan.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service without our written permission.
- Use the service in a way that violates Anki’s or any third party’s terms of use.
5. Plans, Billing, and Renewal
AnkiQuiz offers a free plan, a time-limited trial, and a paid Pro subscription. For paid plans:
- Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
- Pro subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
- We may change plan prices or limits and will give reasonable notice of material changes before they take effect.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. After cancellation:
- Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current paid billing period and will not renew afterward.
- The trial is free, so cancelling during the trial results in no charge.
- Fees already paid are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
- If you were charged in error, or a technical problem prevented you from using a paid feature, contact us and we will review your case and may issue a refund at our discretion.
7. Your Content and Anki Data
You retain ownership of your Anki card content. You grant us a limited license to process the card text you select solely to generate quizzes for you. We only process the text of the cards you choose, do not store your full Anki database, and never use your data to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Intellectual Property and Trademarks
AnkiQuiz, including its software, design, and brand, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. "Anki" and "AnkiWeb" are trademarks of their respective owners; AnkiQuiz is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anki or AnkiWeb.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
AnkiQuiz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated questions may contain errors, so you should verify important information independently. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of AnkiQuiz after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
